At Lombard Finance we believe in keeping your information private and personal. We are committed to protecting individual personal information and are bound by and will abide by, the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 ("Privacy Act"). For the purposes of this Statement, "personal information" includes information obtained from any source and anything about credit worthiness, standing, history and capacity which, under and in accordance with the Privacy Act, may be lawfully exchanged.
When you give us personal information about another person - eg your referees, you represent that you are authorised to do so and agree to inform that person about this application, who we are, that we will use and disclose that information for the relevant purposes set out below and that they can access the information we hold about them.

You agree that personal information about you provided to us at any time in connection with a Lombard Loan account ("the Account") or a direct debit request may be held and used by us to assess and process the application, establish, provide and administer the Account, execute your instructions, and, as relevant, to comply with legislative/regulatory requirements, consider any other application you may make to us, perform administrative operations, manage our rights and obligations in relation to external payment systems rules, conduct market/customer satisfaction research, develop, establish and administer alliances and other arrangements with other organisations in relation to the promotion, administration and use of our respective products and services, develop and identify services that may interest you, and (unless you ask us not to) tell you about services (eg by direct marketing). Our direct marketing is designed to keep you up to date with our products and services. So if you don't want to receive them, just let us know next time we contact you. |

You agree that in assessing your application we may seek and obtain personal information about you from a credit reporting agency or another financial institution and may give personal information about you to another financial institution. |

Without your information we may not be able to provide you with the Account. |

If we collect sensitive information about you (like membership of a professional association or a criminal record), you consent to its collection. |
You agree that we may collect personal information about you from and disclose it to the following, as appropriate: credit reporting agencies, our agents, contractors, external advisers both in Australia and overseas, your agents, including your legal adviser, your executor, administrator or attorney, your employer/accountant (as relevant), law enforcement, regulatoy and government bodies, debt collecting agencies, other organisations with whom we have alliances or arrangements for the purpose of promoting our respective products and services (and any agents used by us and our business partners in administering such an arrangement or alliance), other financial institutions, payment systems operators, financiers, any person considering purchasing the business or any credit facility (or any part of the business or credit facility) the subject of any Lombard Finance product or to any person to whom we may assign your credit contract/s (and their advisers and representatives), any person considered necessary, in our view, to execute your instructions and (unless you tell us not to) other organisations (including our related bodies corporate) and their agents for the marketing of their products and services.
We will use up to date techniques and processes which meet current industry standards to ensure that your personal information is kept secure and confidential.
Lombard Finance will not retain any of your information for any longer than it is required by us, except to fulfill our legal obligations.
It is important for us, and for you, that the information we hold is accurate and up to date. To do this, we rely on you to help us. We ask that you contact us whenever there are any changes to your personnel details, so that we can update our records.
This information we hold about you is yours to access and as such we can provide you with general information, such as your name, address and contact details easily.
More detailed information may not be easy for us to access and if necessary a small fee may be charged for the cost of retrieving and supplying the details you require. If you need to access your detailed information, just write to us at the following address:

You consent to us sending to electronic addresses which you have provided or for which you are the relevant electronic account holder (both "your addresses") commercial electronic messages including messages about our services and the products and services of any third party. |
